Kolkata (ANI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has marched from Shyam Bazar to Kolkata’s Red Road on Saturday to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the country.
Meanwhile, she said that Netaji did not get due respect from him. In such a scenario, they will celebrate their birthday not as Parak Day but as ‘Desh Naik Divas’. SHe said that there has never been a patriot like Netaji.
He supported Tagore’s ‘Jan Gana Mana’ for the national anthem. He chanted the slogan ‘Jai Hind Aur Yaka’. Netaji was a great philosopher.
He had envisioned the Planning Commission and the Indian National Army even before independence, but Netaji did not get due respect.

He addressed as the hero of the country
Criticizing the central government, CM Mamata Banerjee said that they claim to respect Netaji, but abolished the Planning Commission.
I do not know why? The Chief Minister said, “We will celebrate the birthday of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as Desh Naik Day.”
It is based on a great history. Rabindranath Tagore addressed Netaji as a hero.

Formed a committee for Jubilee celebrations
Mamata said, “We have formed a committee to celebrate Netaji’s 125th birthday”. Amartya Sen, Abhijeet Banerjee, and other eminent personalities are part of the committee for the year-round celebrations.
He announced the launch of Netaji Subhash University and Jai Hind Vahni. “We know about his birthday but we don’t know about his death,” he said. This is very painful.
