Mumbai: A huge fire broke out at the headquarters of Serum Institute of India the largest vaccine manufacturer.
At a Manjri plant in Pune at Terminal-1, a massive fire broke out. This caused thick smoke to cover the area.
Firefighters arrived at the incident place and trying to control the fire. More details on the accident are yet to be revealed.
The serum is known that to be used on a large scale to develop the ‘Covishield’ vaccine developed by Oxford Astra Geneca.
However, the Covishield vaccines are not being developed in the plant where the accident took place. Thankgod.
