Riyadh: The family of the Saudi activist, Loujain Al-Hathloul, announced this evening, Wednesday, that the Saudi authorities have released her.
“Loujain has been released,” her sister Lina tweeted, adding that in English, Jane is now at home.
Al-Hathloul, 31, was arrested in May 2018, and at the end of last December, a court in Riyadh ordered Al-Hathloul to be imprisoned for five years and eight months after condemning her for inciting regime change and “serving foreign parties”, and attached the verdict to suspend its implementation for a period of two years and ten months.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan told «AFP» this month that Al-Hathloul is accused of contacting “unfriendly” countries and “providing classified information.”.
