France fines Google 100 million Euros and Amazon 35 million Euros

World News: The French regulator Authority announced on Thursday that Google and Amazon groups were fined 100 million Euros and35 million Euros, respectively, for non-compliance with the cookie law.

The National Committee on Informatics and Freedom regulates Google (France) and Amazon (France) websites, especially those that place ad tracking tools on Internet users’ computers “without prior permission”.

On the other hand, the Committee stated that the information tapes displayed by the Committee while viewing these websites were “not clear enough for Internet users to know the purpose of using these cookies and how to reject them”.
