30 people died in a bus-truck collision in Pakistan

Rescue services officials at Ghazi Khan Teaching Hospital said 30 people were killed and 74 injured in a passenger bus collision with a truck in Pakistan’s Punjab province in the early hours of Monday morning.

Rescue officials said the accident occurred around 5:40 am local time (0040 GMT) in an area about 466 km southeast of Lahore.

Dr. Nejipur Rahman, the medical observer at Dera Ghazi Khan Teaching Hospital, told Reuters that the death toll is likely to increase because many of the injured are in critical condition.
