Expats from 35 Banned countries continues staying for 14 days in transit countries

With the start of allowing non-Kuwaitis to enter the country again, starting next Sunday (21 this month), and the application of their institutional quarantine for a week at their expense in a local hotel.

Health officials revealed to that there has been no new so far in the procedures for entering nationals of the list of 35 countries Prohibited from entering the country directly without staying for a period of 14 days in a transit country.

According to the officials, the citizens of the prohibited countries are required to perform their stay in a third country for a period of 14 days before heading to Kuwait, in which they will be subject, upon arrival, to institutional quarantine in a hotel for a week at their own expense, followed by a home quarantine for a week.

They said that a PCR certificate is required for the arriving from abroad, with a validity period of up to 72 hours from the date of taking the sample to the date of boarding the plane.

In addition to reserving a local hotel on the “Kuwait-Traveler” platform before arriving in the country; To apply the institutional quarantine period inside it, and to undergo a PCR examination as well, at Kuwait Airport.

Regarding the decision to reduce the number of arriving passengers on board flights, an informed source in the “Civil Aviation” told Al-Qabas: “The number of arrivals currently is still within the limits of 1000 arrivals per day, and it is expected to continue after February 21 until further notice.”
