Kuwait City, Oct 29: Five days after activating the Cabinet’s decision to reopen the airport at its full capacity as of last Sunday, a sources revealed that the total departing and arriving flights amounted to 521, with 260 incoming flights and 261 departures.
The statistics showed that the total passenger traffic at the airport amounted to about 65,759 passengers, including 28,228 arrivals and 31,516 departures, while about 5015 passengers crossed the airport as a transit station.
In this regard, a source told that the airport is witnessing a gradual increase in the operation of regular commercial flights for all airlines, according to the requirements and needs of travelers.
The source indicated that the devices operating at the airport were ready to facilitate the movement of incoming and outgoing passengers in accordance with health requirements.

He stressed that the operating agencies are waiting to be informed of the wishes of the operating airlines to know their operational needs to keep pace with the implementation of the Cabinet’s decision, and to determine travel destinations and passengers, coinciding with the winter season, which begins at the beginning of next month.
He stated that the Cabinet’s decision authorized “Civil Aviation” to open the airport to be as it was before the Corona pandemic, explaining that airlines were addressed to start increasing flights according to the requirements of the air transport market.
The source indicated that health requirements are still in force, and there have been no changes in travel procedures for arrivals and departures.
