Spike in coronavirus infection, 1,015 infected; 8 dead – Arab times


KUWAIT, February 23: According to Kuwait, 1,015 people tested positive for coronavirus. 8 deaths were reported on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 186,004 as deaths rose to 1,057, according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry also reported that 906 more people were cured from the virus, bringing the total number of those who have overcome the disease to 174,088, said spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad at a press conference.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus is currently 10,859, 146 of them in intensive care units. Around 8,221 swab tests out of a total of 1,746,776 were performed on the last day.
