Kuwait jumps to third place with increasing vaccination rate –

KUWAIT CITY, February 21: Given the increasing demand for COVID-19 vaccines in the country, the vaccination index rose by 3.87 percent of the population to 165,172 on Sunday afternoon, according to the global immunization count.

This indicates that the Ministry of Health has changed its shortcomings and improved its vaccination rate after ranking the country as the last of the GCC member states with only 56,000 vaccines administered. The daily statistical declaration from the Ministry of Health does not contain any information on vaccination rates.

The statements of the Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah at the parliamentary session on the number of people vaccinated in the country turned out to be inconclusive.

The global vaccination count index www.covidvax. live, Kuwait showed remarkable progress in this regard as it jumped to third place in the Gulf region and 42nd place worldwide among the 96 countries that have started COVID-19 vaccination.

In this regard, the Ministry of Health yesterday started providing COVID-19 vaccinations for residents of the Kuwait Vaccination Center in Mishref, particularly the elderly and people with chronic and immunological conditions, as these groups are most at risk of COVID-19 infection and the occurrence of complications.
