KUWAIT CITY, February 23: The Under-Secretary of State of the Interior Ministry, Lieutenant General Issam Al-Naham, led a security meeting at the headquarters of the Interior Ministry, the Deputy Under-Secretary of State for Public Affairs, in the presence of the Deputy Under-Secretary of State for Transport and Operations, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh Security, Maj. Gen. Faraj Al-Zoubi, and Deputy Undersecretary of State for Criminal Security Affairs, Maj.
During the meeting, on the official holidays from February 25-28, the security implementation of plans was discussed in all parts of the country. Lieutenant General Al-Naham warned against acting decisively and taking legal action against violations of the cabinet ministers’ decision.
All commercial activity must cease from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. to prevent gatherings in private and public places including diwaniyas, main streets and inner streets as the government decides to protect the health of citizens and expats.
Security officials have been instructed to work together and coordinate to secure hotels set up for institutional quarantine for the return of Kuwaiti nationals from abroad, Al Anba reports. He stressed the need to work in a team spirit to protect the health system in the country, to be in complete readiness and constantly vigilant to enforce the law and deal firmly with negative phenomena.
