The arrival of the first batch of “Eurofighter” to Kuwait

Today, Tuesday evening, a reception was held for the arrival of the first batch of Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft to the homeland, in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant-General Sheikh Khaled Al-Saleh, the Italian Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, Mr. Carlo Balducci, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Sheikh Fahad Jaber Al-Ali, and a number of senior officials. The commanding officers of the army, a number of leaders of the Ministry of Defense and representatives of the Leonardo Company.

The first two planes landed at Ali Al-Salem Air Base, the latest “Typhoon Trench 3” model among its counterparts, which is one of the latest multi-role fighters and is characterized by electronic warfare capabilities, high-speed response capability and advanced missile armament.

The two planes are out of 28 that have been handed over to the Air Force as a result of a comprehensive strategic project that represents a qualitative leap in the combat readiness of the Kuwaiti Air Force.
