Referring the director of the workforce to the investigation because of the “60 decision”

Kuwait City, Oct 13: Against the background of the decision that was invalidated by the Fatwa and Legislation Department last week, The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Salman, issued a decision based on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers to refer the Director of the Public Authority for Manpower Ahmed Al-Mousa for investigation, due to his issuing an “illegal” decision not to renew work permits For expatriates who have reached the age of 60 who hold a high school diploma or less. Informed sources indicated that the investigation committee, consisting of advisors in fatwa and legislation, will initiate the investigation with the director of manpower and is authorized to summon any employee or consultant who contributed to issuing the “nulled” decision, which almost caused economic and humanitarian consequences.

They stated that the investigation committee, after finding out the reasons, will issue the appropriate decision against the director of the Public Authority for Manpower, and he may be referred to a disciplinary committee to issue punitive decisions against him.
