Kuwait City, March 16: Senior sources said, in exclusive statements to Al-Anba Local newspaper, that the possibility of a total ban diminishing with the decrease in the number of people infected with Coronavirus.
The sources indicated that the official data issued by the Ministry of Health showed that the number of new recoveries from the Coronavirus on Sunday, corresponding to the 14th of this month, increased to 1,390 cases, while the number of newly infected people decreased to 1063 cases, while the number of deaths reached 7 cases, and 209 in intensive care.
The sources added that on Saturday, the 13th of this month, the number of people recovered also increased to 1,365, compared to a decrease in the number of injured to 1211, 9 deaths, and 198 cases in intensive care.

The Council of Ministers held its weekly meeting yesterday afternoon at Seif Palace under the chairmanship of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled. After the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Muhammad stated the following:
His Highness the Prime Minister informed the Council at the beginning of its meeting of the results of the good checks carried out by His Highness, may God protect him, recently in New York, United States of America, which culminated. Thanks to God for his success and his departure to Europe on a private visit, and the Council of Ministers expressed its deep satisfaction and reassurance of the condition of His Highness, may God protect him and take care of his health, praying to the Almighty to perpetuate his complete health, wellness and long life, and to surround him with his care in the solution and travel.
Then the Cabinet listened to an explanation provided by Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah about the latest developments in the health situation in the country based on the latest statistics and indicators that show the continued high numbers of injuries and deaths, those receiving treatment in hospitals and the percentage of intensive care occupancy, despite the imposition of a partial ban In the country, which requires continued cooperation and commitment to health requirements and precautionary measures taken to besiege the epidemic and confront the phenomenon of its outbreak in the country, as well as reviewing all developments in the spread of the Coronavirus at all regional and global levels.
The Council of Ministers called on all citizens and residents to continue cooperation and commitment to the requirements imposed by the health authorities for the sake of the safety and health of society, which require everyone to understand these measures in order to be able to overcome this ordeal and avoid its evils.
The Council of Ministers also discussed the affairs of the National Assembly, and in this regard reviewed the letter of the Speaker of the National Assembly attached to it the interrogation submitted to His Highness the Prime Minister by some members of the National Assembly on 3/8/2021, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 135 of the bylaw of the National Assembly, this questioning will be included on The agenda of the first upcoming session of the National Assembly, and the Council of Ministers reviewed the interrogation newspaper, which included one axis, which is selectivity in the application of laws, and the Council studied the constitutional and legal aspects included in the interrogation newspaper, stressing the Cabinet’s keenness to deal with this questioning in accordance with the provisions of the constitution and the internal regulations of the National Assembly And the decisions of the Constitutional Court in this regard.
Within the framework of the government’s keenness to ensure the stability of the economic situation and reduce the risks of the effects resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic, the Cabinet discussed the recommendation contained in the minutes of the Economic Affairs Committee meeting regarding the appropriate mechanism to address the economic repercussions resulting from the Corona pandemic, and the Cabinet decided to approve a draft law to support and guarantee financing Local banks for clients affected by the repercussions of the Coronavirus crisis and its submission to His Highness the Deputy Emir, may God protect him.
The Council also decided to assign the Minister of Trade and Industry to coordinate with: the Ministry of Finance – The Public Investment Authority – Central Bank of Kuwait – The National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises Development – Kuwait Economic Association – and the entities it deems appropriate to complete the governmental efforts exerted in supporting the owners of small and medium enterprises and setting up The views and the provision of the necessary legislation and appropriate solutions to address the economic repercussions resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic, and to inform the Council of Ministers of what ends up being reached, within a month of its date.
The Cabinet was then informed of the recommendation contained in the minutes of the General Services Committee meeting regarding the visual presentation submitted by the General Authority for Roads and Land Transport regarding the initial assessment of the Al-Abd Al-Abd Al-Razzaq tunnel and urgent and radical solutions to overcome the obstacles facing traffic movement at the Darwaza Al-Abd Al-Razzaq intersection, and the measures taken by the authority In cooperation and coordination with: Ministry of Interior – Ministry of Finance – Ministry of Public Works – Kuwait Municipality – Kuwait University – Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research in this regard.

Then the Cabinet was informed of the committee’s recommendation regarding the statement of the Minister of Public Works on the implementation work for the first phase of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port project and the legal, administrative and contractual arrangements for its implementation.
The Council of Ministers reviewed the recommendation of the Public Services Committee regarding the obstacles facing the South Saad Al-Abdullah Housing Project, and the Cabinet was informed of the periodic report submitted by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare that includes all the procedures and the current situation regarding removing obstacles belonging to the concerned state authorities within the boundaries of the South Saad Al-Abdullah Housing Project. Until 10/31/2020 and the results of the coordination meeting that took place between the Ministry of Electricity and Water and the Public Authority for Housing Welfare on the groundwater wells located in the South Saad Al-Abdullah Housing Project and the agreed upon work mechanism in this regard, as well as the statement of the Public Authority for Agriculture and Wealth Affairs Al-Samakiah regarding the timetable for the transfer of the poultry farm (Nayef Poultry Company) from its current location in the South Saad Al-Abdullah Housing Project to the alternative site, and the Environment Public Authority’s report on the mechanism for dealing with used and damaged tiresAnd transferring it from its current location in Erhih to the alternative site and ways to dispose of it through the initiative companies, as well as the statement of the Public Authority for Industry regarding the transfer of the metal shredding and transforming industries company factory from its current location in the south of Saad Al-Abdullah housing project to the alternative site designated for it.
The Council of Ministers decided to assign: the Public Authority for the Environment – the Public Authority for Industry – the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries Affairs in coordination with the authorities they deem appropriate to take all necessary measures – each within its own jurisdiction – to remove all obstacles related to each of them in the South Saad Al-Abdullah Housing Project quickly. An integrated system for transforming waste into a source of income and an alternative to energy
The Cabinet examined the committee’s recommendation regarding the report submitted by the Environment Public Authority regarding the integrated system for dealing with waste in the State of Kuwait, and the Cabinet decided to assign the Environment Public Authority in coordination with: Ministry of Health – Ministry of Public Works – Ministry of Electricity and Water – Kuwait Municipality – Public Authority For industry – the Authority for Partnership Projects between the public and private sectors, to take the necessary measures to unify efforts to create an integrated system for dealing with all types of waste, in accordance with environmental and health requirements and ways to benefit from transforming it into a source of income and an alternative to energy.
