MOI denies that 40 inmates in the Central Prison were infected with Corona

Kuwait City, April 11: The Ministry of Interior denied what was circulated on some social media sites regarding the spread of the Coronavirus among more than 40 prisoners of the Central Prison.

MOI confirmed that what has been circulated on social media is incorrect and that the number of positive cases is only two, and one case of suspicion and these cases do not cause concern, as the necessary precautionary, preventive, and health measures have been taken by a health committee at the Ministry of Health.

They have been placed under follow-up, and isolation. and the amber in which the positive cases were found, to limit the spread of the virus.

The administration clarifies that the Correctional Institutions Affairs and Judgment Execution Sector, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, conducts medical swabs for all inmates to ensure that they are free from the emerging corona virus, stressing that the Correctional Institutions and Judgment Implementation Sector spare no effort in protecting inmates and preserving their health from the spread of the new Corona virus.
