Kuwait and Tunisia discuss activating the military cooperation agreement

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Tunisia Ali Al-Dhafiri and Tunisian Defense Minister Imad Mameesh discussed today ways to activate the military cooperation agreement between the two countries.

Ambassador Al-Dhafiri said in a statement that the meeting touched on activating the cooperation agreement in the military field signed by the two countries in 2016, which will contribute to enhancing the exchange of experiences in this field between the two sides.

He added that the talks also touched on intensifying military visits between the two countries, enhancing cooperation in the field of military training and exchanging experiences, noting that it was agreed to receive a number of Tunisian military cadres for training in Kuwait next year.

He explained that he also discussed with the Tunisian Defense Minister preparations for a planned visit of Tunisian Prime Minister Najla Bouden to the State of Kuwait, in addition to activating the joint military committee between the two countries to push forward cooperation in areas of common interest, including training and border control.
