Government satisfies employees and retirees

Kuwait News, March 15: In government decisions characterized by “popular” and balancing between the satisfaction of current and former state employees (retired), the Council of Ministers approved, in its meeting, yesterday, a draft decree to exchange cash for employees of government agencies to balance periodic leave during the period of service.

The draft stipulation decrees that “the employee’s service in the state shall not be less than five working years, and the balance of his leaves after disbursing the cash allowance shall not be less than 30 days.” After the meeting, the head of the Government Communication Center, the official spokesman for the government, Tariq Al-Muzram, said: His Highness the Prime Minister directed the Civil Service Council to set the rules and conditions for entitlement and disbursement, adding that the Council of Ministers approved the draft decree and submitted it to His Highness the Emir of the country.

On the other hand, the Council of Ministers, in its meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, yesterday, approved a financial reward of 3,000 dinars for each retiree, in addition to an annual increase of 20 dinars.
