“Food Bank” launches “Water Sebabil Bank” project

Today, Monday, the Kuwait Food and Relief Bank launched the “Water Tasbeel Bank” project to provide workers with water through the bank’s modern mobile cars equipped with the latest cooling methods, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of Endowments.

Vice President of the Bank, Mishaal Al-Ansari, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this project is one of the largest development projects in the region in the charitable sector, as it provides clean water in chilled and ready-made packages through specialized mobile cars to move to workers’ gathering places and provide them with water in roads, mosques, hospitals and vital places.

He added that the vital “Water Sebeel Bank” constitutes a qualitative leap in charitable and humanitarian work in the region, given the modern methods used by the bank to make this project a success and benefit the largest possible number of segments of society.

He affirmed the Awqaf Secretariat’s support for the charitable and voluntary activities and efforts carried out by the Food Bank to serve the Kuwaiti community, praising its efforts in facilitating all means for the success of these charitable activities, campaigns and projects to benefit all segments of society.

And he indicated that this project also represents a kind of social solidarity and compassion among all segments of Kuwaiti society, pointing out that the food bank includes an integrated team to manage charitable work and receive the needy to identify their needs, meet all their requirements and work to solve their daily problems.
