Kuwait News, June 22: The Ambassador of the European Union to Kuwait, Dr. Christian Tudor told Al-Qabas that the procedures for exempting Kuwaitis from the “Schengen” are on the right track, hoping that this file will be completed soon.
Tudor also welcomed the European Council’s approval on Monday of the strategic partnership document between the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries on climate change, energy security, cooperation in the field of development and humanitarian aid, in addition to strengthening relations between peoples, including facilitating the granting of visas.
On the other hand, Tudor expressed his support for Ukraine’s inclusion in the European Union, pointing out that Ukraine deserves to obtain this membership and we are against Russian aggression against it. [Read Also: Corona indicators are reassuring and no deaths since April 3]
The EU ambassador concluded his statement by noting that the European Commission had recommended Ukraine to become a member of the European Union, “I hope the member states will agree, but of course the accession process requires a lot of procedures, and Ukraine deserves to have this membership.”
