KUWAIT CITY, February 20: The Directorate-General for Civil Aviation stated that on instructions from the health authorities to prevent the spread of COVID 19, especially after the appearance of a mutated coronavirus strain, new procedures will be introduced at Kuwait International Airport from Sunday, February 21 .

Passengers arriving from high risk countries must be quarantined at their own expense for a period of 14 days in locally approved hotels by registering on the Kuwait Mosafer app or website (http://www.kuwaitmosafer.gov.kw) if passengers from other countries need to be quarantined in locally approved hotels for a period of 7 days at their own expense by registering in the Kuwait Mosafer app or website, and completing the remaining 7 days of quarantine at home Need to become.

Kuwaiti patients seeking treatment abroad, Kuwaiti students studying abroad, minors under the age of 18 and unaccompanied travelers, members of diplomatic bodies and medical personnel are excluded from institutional quarantine but are subject to a 14-day home quarantine.

Passengers flying to Kuwait are asked to register in the Kuwait Mosafer app or on the website http://www.kuwaitmosafer.gov.kw
