Close Christian places of worship and gatherings until January 10, January 3 a holiday


Kuwait: The Cabinet raised to His Highness Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad and to the honorable Kuwaiti people the highest verses of congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the approaching New Year 2021.

The Cabinet approved Sunday 3/1/2021 as an official holiday instead of Friday, 1/1/2021, on the occasion of the NewYear.

The Council decided to close Christian places of worship and prevent gatherings during the celebration of religious holidays in public places from today, Thursday, 12/24/2020, until Sunday, 10/1/2021, in order to limit the spread of the Corona virus, and assign the Ministry of Interior to implement what was stated in the decision.


The Council called on all citizens and residents to adhere to health instructions and not to gather and to physically distance themselves in all special occasions and religious holidays and others in order to preserve the health of the individual and society and to reduce the increase in the rate of infection with the virus and prevent its spread, in order to complete a new phase in facing the virus by implementing the national campaign for vaccination using the drug We hope that this will contribute to ending the epidemic and returning to normal life.
