Ban On Arrival If Cases In ICU And Corona Wards Increases

Kuwait City, Jan 9: The Ministerial Committee for Corona Emergencies submitted a set of recommendations to the Council of Ministers to consider it at its next meeting, sources confirmed that there is no changes in the examination mechanism for those coming into the country from abroad.

The current mechanism at Kuwait International Airport is guaranteed in detecting any cases of infection among the arriving passengers. The procedures to examine those coming to the country is meticulous and strict and no changes are required in that, sources said.

Sources also said that banning any additional country is not in the agenda, but if the epidemiological situation does not stabilize and the number increases in intensive care units and Corona wards, it is likely that there will be a list of prohibited countries., sources said.


As of now, the situation is stable with only 11 cases in ICU and 53 cases in Corona wards even though the country witnessed 6,141 new cases in just 72 hours.
