Ali Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa Trading Company and “Hoffmann La Roche” Pharmaceutical Company in Kuwait announced the conclusion of a cost-sharing agreement to ensure the treatment of the largest number of breast cancer patients with “Hayat”, emanating from the Ruqayya Abdulwahab Al-Qatami Foundation, which specializes in providing breast cancer treatments and support for those who are unable to bear the costs of treatment since 2007.
The support was announced during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Ali Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa Trading Company, which was attended by the Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors Faisal Ali Al-Mutawa, the Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors Laila Abdullah Thunayan Al-Ghanim, and the Regional Director of Roche in the Arabian Gulf Dr. Ahmed Tawfiq, in addition to representatives from the « Hoffmann La Roche» and the Hayat Association.
A contract was signed to provide the association with drugs worth 1.4 million dinars, as the two companies, Al-Mutawa and La Roche, sponsored the cost-sharing program with Al-Mabarah, to ensure the treatment of the largest number of patients who are unable to bear the costs of treatment. Al-Mutawa said: “We are always keen to provide assistance and stand by charities in their path, as a commitment to our beloved community in Kuwait. I would like to commend the tireless efforts and great dedication that Ruqayya Al Qatami Foundation provides to breast cancer patients in Kuwait, and we will remain by their side in their charitable journey.”
For her part, Al-Ghanim expressed her deep thanks to the two companies for their continuous support for more than a decade, and thanks to all shareholders and individual and corporate donors for their generous giving and donation.
