Kuwait News, July 25: After 75 days of accepting the resignation of the government headed by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, an Emiri order was issued yesterday to appoint the first General M. Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf as Prime Minister, and he was tasked with nominating the members of The new ministry and presenting their names to His Highness, the Crown Prince, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad, to issue a decree appointing them.
The Emiri order stated that “After reviewing the constitution – and the Emiri order issued on November 15, 2021, with the assistance of His Highness the Crown Prince to exercise some of Amir’s constitutional powers – and the Emiri order issued on May 10, 2022, accepting the resignation of the Prime Minister, and after traditional consultations, we ordered the following:
Article One: The First Party appoints M. Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf as Prime Minister and is tasked with nominating members of the new ministry and presenting their names to us to issue a decree appointing them.
Article Two: The Prime Minister must implement this order of ours and report it to the National Assembly, and it will be implemented from the date of its issuance, and it will be published in the Official Gazette. [Read Also: 44 violators were arrested in a security campaign by MoI]
This government is considered the fortieth in the country’s history, and the fourth since His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad took over the reins of power.
