Kuwait News, Jan 26: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali has set 6 new regulations for the admission of Kuwaiti women to the honor of military service, in line with the fatwa regulations of the Fatwa Authority of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic affairs regarding women joining the military corps.
According to Al-Ali’s decision – a copy received – the six controls are:
1- The consent of the guardian or the husband.
2- Commitment to the legal veil that covers it.
3- Work in medical and nursing specialties, technical fields and support services.
4 Not to conduct field and tactical military exercises.
5 Not carrying a weapon.
6 Acceptance is made when needed to fill the required vacancies.

The decision of the Minister of Defense stipulated that the Chief of the General Staff of the Army would issue the necessary orders to implement the content of the decision, and all competent authorities should work to implement it, each in its own right.
