8 deaths and 969 new Corona cases recorded in Kuwait

Kuwait City, July 21: The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, today, Wednesday, 969 new infections with the Corona virus were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 388,881.

Al-Sanad said that 8 deaths were recorded, all of whom were not vaccinated, bringing the total number of deaths recorded to 2,255.

He added that 1,388 cases of recovery were also recorded, bringing the total number of people recovered to 371,125, indicating that the percentage of total recovery cases out of the total injuries amounted to 95.43 percent.


He stated that the number of people receiving medical care in the intensive care departments reached 326, while the total number of cases that were confirmed to be infected and are still receiving the necessary care reached 15501, and the total number of cases in Corona wards reached 1123.

He stated that the number of swabs that were conducted during the same period amounted to 12,558, bringing the total of tests to 3277,000, indicating that the percentage of injuries to the number of these swabs is 7.7%.


With regard to the percentage of injuries in the governorates, Al-Sanad said that it reached 30 percent in Ahmadi, 28 percent in Hawalli, 15 percent in Jahra, 14 percent in Farwaniya, and finally 13 percent in the capital.

He renewed the call to continue to take preventive measures, avoid contact with others, and ensure physical distancing, recommending visiting the accounts of the Ministry of Health and the official authorities in the country to review the instructions and recommendations and everything that would contribute to containing the spread of the virus.
