8 deaths, 1,403 new infections and 1432 recoveries recorded last 24 hrs

Kuwait News, April 6: During the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health recorded 8 new deaths as a result of complications from the virus, bringing the total deaths to 1,373.

In the daily statistical statement on the latest developments in the epidemic, the Ministry confirmed that 1,403 new infections were recorded, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 239,952 cases.

She explained that the past 24 hours witnessed the recovery of 1,432 cases, bringing the total number of cures to 224,701 cases, bringing the rate of cure from the disease so far to 93.6%.


The Ministry confirmed that the total number of cases that have been confirmed to have “Covid-19” disease and are still receiving the necessary medical care is 13,878 cases, while the number of cases in intensive care reached 216 cases.

She stated that the number of swabs that were conducted during the past 24 hours amounted to 10095 swabs, bringing the total of the examinations since the beginning of the pandemic until now to two million 111 thousand and 43 examinations, and thus the percentage of new infections from the number of swabs is 13.9%.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that vaccination is the best way to end the Corona pandemic. The Ministry renewed its call on citizens and residents to continue adopting all preventive means, avoid contact with others, and ensure the implementation of the physical distancing strategy, recommending to visit the official accounts of the Ministry of Health and official authorities in the country to view the instructions and recommendations, and everything that would contribute to containing the spread of the virus.
