Government apologized for attending the parliamentary budgets meeting tomorrow

Kuwait City, March 9: His Highness Kuwait Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled welcomed the invitation of the Budgets and Final Account Committee in the National Assembly to attend the committee’s meeting with whomever he sees from the competent ministers to discuss a number of issues on its agenda.

In this regard, the head of the Government Communication Center, the official spokesperson for the government, Tariq Al-Muzrim, told Kuwait News Agency that PM stressed the importance of cooperation with the National Assembly and members of the Council and the presence of parliamentary committees to respond to members’ inquiries and clarify the work and procedures of government agencies.


Al-Muzrim added that due to the failure of His Highness the Prime Minister and the ministers to take the constitutional oath before the National Assembly as stipulated in Article 91 of the Constitution before a member of the National Assembly takes over his work in the Council or its committees.

He is sworn in before the Council in an open session, then His Highness was sent a letter to the President of the National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim, a letter of apology for attending the meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday.

He indicated that His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled mandated the competent ministers who have political responsibility to take the necessary measures regarding the topics listed on the agenda of the invitation to the budgets and final account committee stressing the readiness of His Highness and the competent ministers to fulfill the invitation after taking the constitutional oath in the National Assembly and explaining the measures taken regarding in the topics referred.
