8 thousand residents left permanently, and 17 thousand residency lost within 3 months

Kuwait News, March 21: Statistics issued by the Public Authority for Manpower showed that work permits of 26562 residents were canceled during the period from January 12 to March 20.

In detail, 17,155 foreigners have canceled work permits for residency outside the country due to travel restrictions, 997 work permits canceled due to the death of the worker, 557 transfers to join a family, and 7853 residents left the country permanently.

The data show that 20 work permits as a partner were renewed, 5 work permits transferred to a partner, 199 transfer work permits were issued from the government sector, 1048 work permits were issued transferring from joining a family, and 124 work permits canceled authorization to the government sector. Also, during that period, 735 work permits were issued.
