Kuwait City, Sep 21: The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs, Major General Faraj Al-Zoubi, vowed to pursue residency violators everywhere and at all times, as part of security campaigns that will not stop. To her with all due respect.
Al-Zoubi supervised, yesterday evening, a security campaign carried out by the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Security Directorate, with the follow-up of its director, Brigadier General Khaled Al-Kandari, and his assistant, Brigadier General Mubarak Marji, which included the area of Al-Qurain Markets.
Al-Rai was with the security men in the campaign, which resulted in the arrest of about 80 violators of the residency law, the majority of whom are bulk and domestic workers registered as absent and a number of those without proof.
In a statement, on the sidelines of the campaign, Major General Al-Zoubi confirmed that “the train to pursue violators of the residence law was officially launched, and we started last week by launching campaigns in all governorates and regions, and they will continue without stopping, especially since the security wheel has turned and will continue to control violators of the residence and employment law.” We will pursue them around the clock and will conduct campaigns in all regions of the country.”
He added, “Our approach is to control everyone who has failed to adjust their status, whether by renewing their residency or leaving, and we will put small detachments roaming all areas, and we will not leave anything, even land, and we will support the violators in farms, groves, land and deserted areas.
Our campaign in the Qurain Markets comes to check the documents and identification documents of the workers in the shops and markets, to ensure the validity of their residency, and to ensure that there are no violators.
Here, I call on all violating residents to take the initiative to surrender themselves to the nearest police station, and to state their status, whether by violation of residency or absenteeism, and they will be treated with respect and courtesy.
Their passport will be brought, or a travel document will be issued to deport them to their countries at the sponsor’s expense.”
He explained that “public security operations receive about 400 different reports daily, and that public security is committed to preserving the security of the homeland and the citizen,” appealing to citizens not to take them, home driver, out of the house by car unless his identity is with him.
For his part, the Director of Security of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, Brigadier Khaled Al-Kandari, explained that “the campaign is an implementation of the security plan that has been developed, as a security cordon has been imposed on the areas to monitor all violators of the residency law, and to monitor any loose and absent labor, and we have distributed security teams and detachments to The whole of the Qurain Markets area to check the papers of residents in the markets and shops, and we are continuing our campaigns in all areas of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate to arrest all violators, especially since the inspection wheel is installed on the tracks.
For his part, Assistant Director of Security of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, Brigadier Mubarak Marji, said, “The campaign comes in implementation of instructions by the Minister of Interior and the Undersecretary and under the supervision and presence of the Public Security Undersecretary. Whoever has not passed the expiry of his residence for 3 months, the necessity of amending the status of the worker, as for those who exceed this period, he will be fingerprinted and his sponsor will be summoned to hand us a ticket to deport him from the country.
Marji concluded by saying, “All the soldiers have been distributed from foot patrols and security points to the vicinity of Al-Qurain Markets, to control every violator, and our security campaign is continuing in all areas of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, and we will not tolerate violators of the law.”
