Kuwait to consider the possible return of partial curfew

Kuwait City, March 4: Al-Qabas local Arabic media reported that the Council of Ministers scheduled a meeting today to discuss the imposition of a partial curfew from next Sunday.

Sources told the daily that the cabinet is reviewing the possibility of enforcing the curfew for a month from 5 pm to 5 am. Also, the decision will be reviewed in line with the development of the country’s health conditions.

The source pointed out that there are two possibilities for commercial stores, including cooperatives — the government may tighten pre-approved health requirements or close them during curfew times.

The source pointed out that the increase in the number of coronavirus cases and the recent recommendations of the US Center for Disease Control to prevent travel to Kuwait was the cause of these actions.
