The canoe park lock between the lakes is damaged and threatens to break open. Millions of cubic meters of water would flow out, cause big waves at the Markkleeberger See and lead to a suction effect in the Störmthaler See. There is also a threat of flooding in Markkleeberg and Leipzig.
