A partial ban in Oman from tomorrow until further notice

The Supreme Committee charged with examining a mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Coronavirus in the Sultanate of Oman said today, Saturday, that the Sultanate will re-impose a curfew and suspend all commercial activities from eight in the evening until four in the morning after the increase in Covid-19 infections, until further notice.

The committee said in a statement that the ban, which will start tomorrow, Sunday, will restrict the movement of individuals and vehicles, with the exception of home delivery services.

The latest figures from the Ministry of Health on Thursday indicated that the country recorded 2015 new infections, bringing the total number of injuries to 242,723, while the total deaths reached 2,626 deaths.
