Digital Desk, Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday announced the resumption of 4G mobile internet services in the Union Territory. Government spokesperson Rohit Kansal tweeted that 4G mobile internet services are being revived across Jammu and Kashmir.
Please note that 4G mobile services are currently available in Ganderbal, Udhampur, Jammu Division, and Kashmir Division. Only 2G mobile internet services are operational in the remaining 18 districts of the Union Territory.

Internet services have been closed since August 5, 2019
It may be noted that mobile telephone and internet services were discontinued on August 5, 2019, following the repeal of Article 370. Mobile telephone services were restored five months later, and the ban on Internet services has continued ever since. Businessmen, students, and professionals have consistently demanded the revival of 4G mobile internet services in the Union Territory.

Omar Abdullah also tweeted congratulations to the people of Kashmir after the resumption of Forge Internet service in Jammu and Kashmir a year and a half later. He is Happy 4G! For the first time since August 2019, Jammu and Kashmir are getting all 4G internet data. Late than ever.
