Singer SP Balasubramanian has been awarded the Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India.

The Padma Awards were announced on the occasion of Republic Day. This time 7 celebrities will be given Padma Vibhushan, 10 Padma Bhushan, and 102 Padma Shri.
This award is given to him posthumously. SP Balasubramanian passed away on September 25, 2020. He also gave his melodic voice to songs from Tollywood to Hindi films.
He sang a lot of songs in Salman Khan’s movie which was a success. These songs are still sung today.All the songs for the super hit movie ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ starring Salman Khan and Bhagyashree were sung by SP Balasubramaniam, which proved to be a super hit.

Balasubramanian was born into a Telugu family in Nellore and his father S.P. Sambamurthy is a Harikatha artist.

Apart from being a playback singer, he is also a music director, actor, dubbing artist, and film producer.

SP Balasubramanian Full name is Sripati Panditradyula Balasubramanian. SP, popularly known as Baloo, has recorded over 40,000 songs in 16 Indian languages.
