Who is Kadambini Ganguly? Kadambini Ganguly is the first Indian Lady Doctor who was born on 18 July 1861 in Bhagalpur, Bihar, India. Her father’s name was Braja Kishore Basu. At the age of 21, Kadambini married 39-year-old widower Dwarakanath Ganguly.
Kadambini Ganguly‘s husband was also from Brahmo Samaj(Caste). In fact, her husband had already been married. With whom he also had five children with his first wife. Kadambini was his second wife. Kadambini had three children. With which he brought up eight children.
Ganguly died on October 3, 1923, after having conducted an operation the same day.
